One of my favorite table-setting tips for weddings and events is how to start setting your tables even when the chairs haven’t arrived yet. If you’ve ever worked with rental companies, you know sometimes the chairs show up later in the setup process. Instead of waiting, I use a simple method that keeps the table looking balanced, intentional, and beautifully designed.
Start by placing your centerpiece in the middle of the table. Then place four chargers around the centerpiece to create the shape of a cross. Once that foundation is set, go back and fill in the remaining chargers around the table. This simple trick keeps everything evenly spaced and helps the entire table come together quickly.
This is one of my go-to design techniques when setting up weddings, parties, and special events, and it always helps the table come together beautifully.
