If the video feels messy, it's because everything is in order of when I did it, and I was too lazy to re-order literally EVERYTHING, so have some timestamps to compensate

Mostly just posted this to get something out there
...also because of the chat update making it harder for the game to be "entertaining" for content
I'm not gonna explain what Nullscape is, sorry but I'm too lazy rn
This was very fun and kinda inspired the whole "Nullscape content" idea in me but idc if it does bad
People
Green: Me
Blue: Techy
Red: Stack
White: Sleepy
These are colors I picked on a whim, if anybody in the video wants a different color let me know and I'll change it for future videos
Akire (She didn't even play, she just joined the call)
Cora (Black hair w/ hat, white cracked face)
Elisa (Black hair, normal face)
Infinite (The other cat avatar)
Chaos (Silly hat, goofy face)
I was gonna make a brief intro addressing the cat avatar, but I ended up scrapping it because most people probably wouldn't care anyway. There's already a decent amount of people who've seen it themself, mainly friends, so it's not too important. I've been using the avatar more as of recently, and quite frankly I just chose to stop trying to conceal it. I'm still the same person with the same personality, so hopefully this change isn't too drastic.
I'll probably post FE2 every so often, but not harder maps like this

3:46 IDRK why I added this to the end but I'm glad I did lol
Context: I've had beef with this map for basically as long as I had known about it (NOT THE CREATORS, THEY'RE GOOD PEOPLE). For some reason this map took way longer than I feel like it should have, whether it's the map's fault or my own skill issue. Eventually I stopped trying it for probably more than a month, until I finally decided to get it over with (see post from November 12, 2024). In the end, I'm happy that I no longer have to be pressured to play this map again, because doing so might give me flashbacks (/j).

Cinnabun: Inspiration, a lot of the gameplay, most of the decorations, maybe some timelines?

Ajax (Me): Some of the gameplay and decorations, the pacing and some other timelines, the Escapee
Snappy: A bit of the gameplay, most of the OST
Luomi: The tunnel gameplay and it's OST part, a lot of the timelines

I think I'm gonna start putting a little more effort into making videos, since the way I used to do it is kinda lazy
Also it took me a while to come up with a funny "hook" name for this video, and it's not even that good (unless I changed it again)
Fun Fact: As of August 8, 2024, I have a custom rescue used in the map (yes, I made it)

Honestly, I do not know what caused this change to happen
I'm unaware if the map got updated or if something didn't load properly

1:47 Yay I guess, also closing thoughts
1:55 Breaks fourth wall again
I've been aware of this map for a while, and finally being able to play it for myself (without Smokey having to load it) feels great
Fun Fact: I had to draw the smiley face in the "o" myself (see thumbnail) instead of copy-pasting it, since Paint 3D - what I primarily use for editing my thumbnails - automatically turned ☺ into a proper emoji (yellow and stuff)

Minic200 contributed some assets and maybe helped with some other parts? Doesn't say
ItzMan20 just "helped" according to Smokey
TiredTV did particles
Mar_R10Z did lighting (duh)
SharaxJZK made the Escapee

5:50 [Long Text] I forgot to edit it in but the loud keyboard in the background from here to 5 52 is my sister roughly 9 ft. (~2.7 m) away from me hitting the space bar quite loudly. I don't have to say this but it helps to clarify things a bit better, and can help prevent people from thinking the run is illegitimate for whatever dumb reason they can think of.
6:10 The rest of the run is sight-reading BTW
6:18 GG
* Believe it or not I can kinda just sit and do the map without locking in, I mean hopefully it isn't too surprising since I literally beat LAYERS three times but still worth mentioning

Turns out I didn't do the last part correctly, so here's a video where I actually beat the map the way the devs intended: youtu.be/7jbP14xAyT8
(In case you somehow miss it, I skipped the speed orb because I had no idea it existed)
Brief overview of how I learned this:
Release Day: Wasn't home, so Day 1 of practice is the 28th
Day 1 (28th): Figured out the 1 20 in maybe 1 hour
Day 2 (29th): PB went from 1 20 to 2 24 (+1 04) in two hours
Day 3 (30th): Took an hour to get 10 seconds further (2 34), 1.75 hours spent total
Wasn't home for long enough on the 1st to actually practice the map because of priorities
Day 4 (2nd): Beat the map after maybe 1.25 hours
Total time spent: ~6 hours

Significant Points:
0:00 WHITE CIRCLE JUMP-SCARE (I recorded with my mouse for specifically this map)
0:11 Yeah this part's kinda boring ngl
0:22 Almost done with the gray section
0:32 Bye white circle (2D section 1)
0:56 Welcome back little dot :D
1:07 This part looks kinda difficult but it isn't when you get used to it
1:17 *Space bar noises intensify* (Gimmick section, see footnote for how it works)
1:36 Gimmick section over
1:48 NGL this wall-jump spam isn't as hard as people make it out to be
1:50 This part's also kinda easy
1:59 The entire reason the white circle is present
2:12 These four chambers ended a good amount of my runs
2:24 LAYERS REFERENCE? Also I'm half sight-reading this
2:35 The platforms here look a bit out of place tbh
2:44 I actually lowered the volume for you for once, lol
2:50 GG
The gimmick from 1 17 - 1 36:
You can't hold space, it only registers the jump from when you initially press it
There's an icon in the bottom middle of the screen to let you know your current state
- If the icon is green: You are on the ground and may press the space bar to jump whenever
- If the icon is yellow: You are in the air and not holding the space bar
- If the icon is red: You are holding the space bar and won't jump until you release and re-press when the icon is green
NOTE 1: If you press the space bar before you land, you will not jump
NOTE 2: The gimmick ends when you enter the chamber that has the truss in it, so no, I was not mashing space lol
Few things first:
1) Claiming my "one of the first people to beat this map" ticket, even though I play-tested
2) Was in a VC when recording this, as the footage is from when the map had practically JUST released
3) This is probably the best map we're going to get for a while. When I beat it for the first time during testing, I was asked if it was highlight-worthy, and within a second I said "absolutely".

Three quick things before normal description format
1: Rotanix cameo, he's probably fine with it (I just look up to him because he's the entire reason I started trying to make FE2 maps lol)
2: I'm not switching my thumbnail formatting for every video to be like this one, I'm only gonna use it for TRIA maps because they don't have in-game number difficulties
3: Expect another TRIA video or two, because I kinda like this game

2:04 My braincells were working HARD to pull this off (also, loud clicking is intentional for the same reason mentioned earlier)

There are two main reasons as to why I decided to beat this map, one was so I could say I've beaten another Liquid Breakout Hellevan, and the other is literally just to beat it before MLGmigz does (I think I heard him say he was gonna make a video on it or smth).
Also I'm thinking of putting more effort into thumbnails than just basic screenshot edits, because it never hurts to put a bit more effort into these unedited videos.

Regarding why I decided to beat this map, I actually beat it before it was fully finished, but 1) like I mentioned, it wasn't fully decorated yet, and 2) I lost the recording. Despite being really long, the map is actually pretty fun, and I'd definitely recommend trying to reach certain parts of it depending on how much free time you have.
Also this is probably the most screenshots I'll ever use in a thumbnail, mainly because of how long and diverse this map is. Won't make any promises though :)

2:39 Noice
Fun Fact: The song is copyrighted, not that I make videos for money anyway. I just enjoy the process of a) beating a map, b) making a thumbnail for said map, and c) showing it to my friends who probably don't give a crap about Flood Escape 2.
Also yes, I forgot to turn Goal Locator off. No, I'm not re-recording a completion of this map because of a funny green/blue/white line on my screen. At least not now.
I don't know what caused this map to get popular, but I noticed that Not_xz made a video on it, and the FE2 Discord was making a bunch of FE2CM servers to practice it, so I decided I'd try to beat it. The map was honestly somewhat annoying at times, with the section that has the lava that literally jump-scared me the first time I made it there, and especially nearer to the end. The platforms that fall right below you are unsightreadable as heck, and the last button is extremely awkward and you only get one chance to press it (per person ofc), making it a huge choke-point and honestly just an artificial difficulty increase like the lava jump-scare. Also, as you probably noticed in the video, I messed up a long jump near the last button, but I still beat the map. That's because the explosion doesn't move too fast, which results in the last section being a sudden drop in difficulty. In the end it was somewhat fun, but the only part that's really noteworthy to me is the core explosion, but even that has a few flaws (especially regarding hitbox alignment near the end of the map, literally died to an inaccurate hitbox once).
Sorry for the occasional sniffles, I record my microphone just in case I react strongly to something, but that didn't happen here so it was kind of pointless. I'm pretty sure it's just a cold, don't ask.
Regarding the last bit in the title, Riptide Resurgence was "discontinued" in December, but as of January 16, 2024, the developers have decided to occasionally update it.

Riptide Resurgence is basically just another Flood Escape 2 fan-game, like Liquid Breakout (at the time of writing this, I didn't know the... situation was fully settled, mb). It has every gimmick FE2 has, and adds in air-dashing (mostly in harder maps) and auto-wall-jumping. There's also new events to make the game much harder, like Banana Rain (exactly what it sounds like), and a new "type" of event that can completely alter gameplay, like Speedster. It's not very popular, but it's super fun, and I would definitely suggest trying it if you're getting a bit worn out of the usual FE2 maps, especially since this game has NONE of those! Literally every map in this game is either an old highlight (Skywork Falls, for example) or a map that's only been seen in FE2CM or other fangames (most notably, Aqua-Flame Base).
Not interested in playing speed-parkour games? Riptide also has a Battle Mode where you can duke it out with other players! It has a large variety of weapons, like the Stop Sign Axe, Splat Roller (game is inspired by Splatoon), Rocket Launcher, and Makeshift Bow. All of the maps are themed off of FE2CM maps, but the overall structure of them resembles an arena, so you don't have to worry about rising floods, except on like 1 map that I'm aware off. It also has a few round types, like Deathmatch and Point Control, as well as random events that can take place which could force your loadout to be something you don't have equipped.
FINALLY - and I swear this is the last thing - there are occasional fests that you can take part in to "fight" against other teams to see which team is the best, similarly to Splatoon's Splat Fests. If you're interested in this game, you should know that there are 5 categories that determine how well each team does. Those are the following: Pre-Fest Hype (XP gained before the fest starts), Popularity (Total number of members), Battle Wins, Escape Wins, and Triple-Team Battle Wins (Sometimes the fests are 3 teams instead of 2).
This was initially going to be my only LB-related video, but the whole EliteLAQ situation ended up getting resolved (I think), so yeah, that's why I have a Mushroosia Entryway video as well now.
Regarding my reaction, I should clarify that I technically have beaten LBMT Hyperspace before, but I didn't fully consider it a win since I died AS I hit the win-zone, so I wanted to recomplete the map so it isn't on my agenda anymore, and yeah, it happened! :D
