The last time we sat down and talked about potential MvM balance changes was over 5 years ago and those were primarily focused on Potato MvM. I also had pancakes back then.

$Scam Awareness PSA #46 Steam Group Chat Scam and how to turn the tables Scammers adding you to group chats have been on the rise over the last months. I suspect its to evade Steams detection methods or to simply leave no traces behind because whatever is being said in group chats doesnt get recorded in your Steam Account Data. So I tried to turn the table and invited them to my own group chat and never responded to them in theirs. If they want to have a chance at scamming me, they need to come to my playing field. And since they are scammers, and scammers are some of the biggest morons inhabiting this planet, they cant help themselves and start their scam script in my group chat. So I followed the trail and checked over everything. Its the same old method of making you jump through multiple hoops before you even get to their phishing website. I honestly dont know who in their right mind would go through this crap to play with a complete stranger. They send me to the actual Face It website to make it seem legit, then redirect me to Twitch which is where they just leave their phishing website out in the open under the guise of verification. And I gotta give it to Twitch again too for having the worst report system. They not only dont have an option for scams in their report menu but also dont allow you to provide additional information as to what is even going on. All you can do is report it for Off platform behavior. Im not holding my breath for even a fraction of a second that this is going to result in anything. The phishing website is just a generic looking tournament website that is going to aggressively try to make you sign in with your Steam account credentials. Window in window logins are never real and just Java-scripted fakes. Always check the URLs of websites too. Back to the group chat. Now that they so graciously provided me with evidence of their phishing scam, its as easy as reporting their message and providing a small explanation. They even include the chat conversation in the report. Truly mind blowing stuff here. It took about a day for them to be community banned. Something that would never happen would you have reported them over their Steam profile. So the main report system that you are supposed to use is practically useless but reporting a single chat message gets the job done. Have it make sense Valve!$
