The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT is going to be incredibly quick. Is the GT Performance Edition faster than a Shelby Mustang GT500? In this first look we're going to take a look at what the GT has to offer compared to the lower spec Mach-E.
The GT is dual motor making it AWD. The front motor is more powerful and the drivetrain can send up to 60% of the power to the rear wheels giving it a RWD bias and driving feel.
It has a peak of 480hp and 600lb-ft of torque. If you opt for the GT Performance Edition you get an addtional 34 lb-ft for a toal of 634lb-ft of twisting action. That's higher than the GT500.
Aside from the addtional power, the GT gets fatter 235/45R20 tires and the Peformance Edition get special 20" wheels with stickier Pirelli P Zero tires with unique compound. The Performance Edition also gets Magna Ride adadptive suspension and sport seats as well.
Deliveries are said to start in late summer or early fall.
