Annie Elainey | Musical Theatre as Self-Care [CC] @theannieelainey | Uploaded February 2017 | Updated October 2024, 5 hours ago.
For #WhyNotWednesday I'm cruising through some of my favorite musicals on shuffle as self-care. Since my first surgery when I first became bed bound and unable to sit or stand for long periods, I found the magic that is musicals on shuffle; where I can just forget about every little thing. Similar to acting on stage, listening and singing along to musicals allows me to jump from story to story, character to character, and take a break from myself, a break from my surroundings. What are your favorite musicals or other ways to practice self-care?
