School of Rock's Rock 101 Program combines private lessons with band rehearsals to help young musicians build confidence while learning to play real songs.
Designed for students ages 8 and older with little or no previous musical experience, Rock 101 teaches the fundamentals of guitar, bass, drums, piano, vocals, and more through School of Rock's patented performance-based curriculum. Students receive individualized instruction during weekly private lessons before joining their peers in collaborative rehearsals where they apply what they've learned in a real band setting.
Instead of simply practicing exercises, students learn through songs carefully selected to introduce important musical concepts while keeping learning fun and engaging.
