Musical Adventures, the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra’s fun concerts for children aged 8-12, opens the 2019 National Symphony Orchestra’s series of concerts for schools. Children are invited to take the adventure of a lifetime as, through the eyes of fantastic creatures, the orchestra explores the worlds of mystery and magic, of imagination and legend in music of drama and romance, energy and excitement, poetry and power drawn from the opera house, concert hall and cinema screen. Includes excerpts from The Magic Flute, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Firebird, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Jurassic Park.
Part of the fun in these concerts will be the entire audience forming a choir to sing the uplifting Charleston Champions, fun to listen to and to learn. So that all children can participate, we hope that students and teachers will come to the concert ready to sing as one voice.
