Up for auction is Gary Busey’s screen-used 1966 Gibson Southern Jumbo from "The Buddy Holly Story", a road-worn icon played by Busey for more than four decades on and off screen.

Seen throughout film from the Nashville studio scenes to the garage recording of “Everyday,” the guitar can be screen-matched by its distinctive pearloid inlays and gold-plated Schaller tuners, further cemented by Gary Busey’s decades-long history with the instrument.

At its core, Music Icons brings together more than 800 lots, led by a rare concentration of stage-played guitars from defining artists across generations, including Ace Frehley, Eddie Van Halen, Billy Duffy, Izzy Stradlin, Kirk Hammett, Mick Mars, Dave Mustaine, Scott Ian, and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Music Icons takes place May 29 - 30, live from the Hard Rock Cafe New York in Times Square.
