Muscular TMD will not show up on a CBCT scan or MRI! ❌
That’s because it’s not a joint problem. It’s a muscle problem.
To properly diagnose it, the muscles need to be evaluated and palpated during a thorough exam. This should be followed by Electromyography (EMG) - which measures muscle activity! The most common symptom is headaches, jaw pain, & neck pain - followed by a few others that I break down in this video.
