If you have an Ikea project to tackle, but you're delaying because you're looking for the perfect multi tool, then wait no longer! Ikea's large variety of furniture, cabinets, and daily use items get put together with simple tools (and they even give you some of them!) Multi tools can handle many of these tasks and so I put several of multi tools to the test as my husband and I assembled a variety of Ikea items.
Some multi tools are limited in their capacity. For example, many screwdrivers have a hard time fitting into the tight corners that can be common with Ikea furniture. Other multitools shine with easy access to tools and even some tools you didn't know you'd use!

I really love this Swiss Tool MXBS because it is so high-quality, but I think I would recommend specifically the Swiss Tool Spirit X. This Swiss Tool sells for quite a bit less and it really seems to meet that Ikea style vibe extremely well. Here's a link to it.I don't own one but I feel confident that its quality is top notch based on all of my research and the other Victorinox products I own.

And finally, for the budget-minded, I really have to cautiously recommend the Nextool Black Knight. With a price under $40 and the included bit kit and extension, it's hard to go wrong. In addition, for Swiss army knife lovers, the extension is the right one to fit on the end of the in-line Phillips. My two concern is that I do not have any idea under what conditions this tool might be manufactured, and I haven't done enough testing or heard enough on long-term tests to say it's likely to hold up for a long time.
