I have wanted to use this song on a video for SO LONG, but I never really found the right "fandom" to use it with. I tried with Matthew & Mary from "Downton Abbey," I tried it with "Waterloo Bridge" (1940)... I think I even tried it with Ten & Rose from "Doctor Who." But nothing seemed to work. And then the other day, out of nowhere, I thought it might work really well with "The Way We Were." As I started the video, I had this crazy idea of adding other Robert Redford films to the mix. (I'm slightly obsessed with Robert Redford at the moment.)And you know what? All of a sudden, it all started to work.
I wanted to upload this yesterday for Valentine's Day, but I didn't have time to do it. Anyway, I'm really happy with the way this turned out, so I hope you like it too. Let me know on a comment what your favorite Robert Redford film is. So far, my favorite is "The Way We Were."
By the way, have you ever noticed that Robert Redford never gets the girl in Sydney Pollack movies? I wonder why that is...
