Well I decided to upload it.

I'd like to dedicate this to all my friends and fans since you're all so wonderful and sweet, and this was a pretty big project, but it is really specially designed and promised to my friend, HTTYD2014.....and, when I promise something, I never break that promise. EVER! ;)
This is the second gift I made for his birthday back in *cough* May. I even had it done before my trip, just never got to writing this description. Been kinda embarrassed about how late it is so I kept putting it off but I really didn't want to wait another year to publish it. Now I am just gonna swallow my pride and eat humble pie and turn the light on this vid so everyone can see it!

So HD14, you messaged once about an animash, instead I did a mutifandom! Its actually my first multifandom, though, Cinderella is really the main one standing out for the live action part. I have all, or at least most of the fandoms I know you through that we talk/pun on, in this video. (Except Marvel, thats what the mock trailer was for. Sorry it just wouldn't work with the song. I tried.) I know you have many fandoms, but I selected 8 main movies that I thought went best with this song: HTTYDs, Frozen, Inside Out, Tangled, Anastasia, Zootopia, and Cinderella. I wanted to highlight more so 2:57 was the moment to surprise ya with your other x-favorites for a few milliseconds like Lion King, Toy Story, Incredibles, and your live action favs with Iron Man, Dark Knight Rises, and Hunger Games. (I haven't seen the 2 latter ones so I have no idea what clips I chose, lol!)

I had a very difficult time choosing a song in the beginning for the gift-idea. Originally, I had plan to do "Not Alone" by Owl City/Britt Nicole, since you, HD14, mentioned it 3 different times but I was always hesitant encase you wanted to use it too, and for some reason, I couldn't find the "spark" to inspire me to edit with it. (Plus I think you connected that song whenever you were feeling down and that was NOT the emotion I was going for from this gift.) This song was new when I first heard it and it generated a huge stir in inspiration, particularly with Cinderella and IO to make. I have to say they were my two favorites working with and in how they turned out because I haven't worked with them much, if at all. (There are so few songs I can find to go with IO, whaa!!)

I feel like I need to explain why I included Cinderella though, especially since it was a main reason I wanted to edit with this song in the first place. Other than the obvious, "Courage and Kindness" line, at 0:50 the lyric: "The greatest risk we'll ever take is by far, to stand in the light and be seen as we are." Reminded me an awful lot of the VO in Cinderella: "This is perhaps the greatest risk that any of us will take, to be seen as we truly are." I had this "A-HA moment" and figured he must have written the song with this movie in mind, but it didn't turn out quite like I imagined. Because unless you know or remember that line, your gonna miss that literal connection, so I threw in the VO in the instrumental part to help. So maybe it clicks? IDK....

I think that was the main story behind this song and the movies. Making it I obviously got carried away with the lightrays, but it was my first time animating them in each scene. I was greatly inspired by this absolutely GORGEOUS and PERFECT vid by Pookiez youtube.com/watch?v=akPBTNwYUqM
which incorporated the lightrays and cool coloring effects. Ever since I saw that vid I've like worshiped it in editing terms and challenged myself to try a "light" video with similar effects, (with my own twist of course ;) but I couldn't find the right song till now. I LOVE that vid! IDK if mine met the challenge or not so you guys be honest and tell me how I could improve.

In other news, I should have a Highlight vid of RTTE like I've been doing with each batch of eps and also a collab coming soon! As well as b-day gifts, hopefully Zootopia vids, and of course the Scotland vid; I've been waiting for pics from my group before I finish it.

If any of you have lasted this long in reading my description....and I think you're gonna be the friends that do, I want to thank you, deeply THANK YOU for your B-day wishes and gifts and for making me feel special and loved on or following my birthday! It means so much I mean, c'mon, everyone likes to be acknowledged - it feels good to be appreciated (; I'm gonna get to commenting and replying starting tomorrow! =D
