I'm back? I hope so. I'm more or less done with my summer job and I'll have free to edit till I find a new one.
Finishing this video was quite unexpected, I started it on march and I just couldn't make it happen. It's special for me, maybe that's why I couldn't make it at first, too close.
I wanted it to be simple, beautiful and not obvious if it makes any sense... as I like to define myself lately "depressed but hopeful", well same for this video.
And what's next? hopefully some Stranger Things videos fhfgadkfgadjfkag

I first thought of making this in 2020 when I saw Gijs for the first time on screen, I saw him and I knew he was The Darkling for me. Then the first season of Shadow and Bone came out and I just was too scared to try. In 2022 I picked the song and that was it xD
And last year I got the urge to try for real with the project all of the sudden, I just couldnt get the idea out of my head.
Believe me when I say I still cant believe this is done, Im honestly quite proud of it cause I can finally see my babies together hskghksfd
I didnt ship darklina in the books, in the show I lowkey liked them in season one.... but meh. What I ship for real is my version of them. I dont think itll happen with my track record, and also due to the lack of footage, but I have ideas... so maybe one day there will be more.
Anyway, I hope some of you will enjoy it and I wanna thank my biggest supporter, Anja, once again for motivating me with her endless fangirling over them with me and for been there willing to help me anytime :)
Synopsis: The fold is the biggest regret The Darkling has and its desperate to find a way to get rid of it. When Alina, the Sun Summoner, appears hope is brought back to Alexanders life. Yet, even tho they find all of Morozovas amplifiers and connect each other so Alina can use The Darklings power too, its not enough. After a few attempts at destroying the fold and failing, they both get obsessed with making Alina more powerful. Merzost feels like the only option, not knowing the price is going to claim. While using merzost makes Alina stronger it has the reverse effect on Alexander, making him loose more and more control over the fold and his power.
