I built this sander when I started out in knifemaking. The frame is based on the USA No Weld. I was not happy with the performance of the frame. The steel tubes had too much slop which made setups and setup changes difficult to keep accurate. I spent some time toward the end of last year and early this year designing a new sander. The plan was to discard this frame. Due to high demand for the Multi Guide Pro tools I have not had time to build the new sander frame. There were a couple of knives that I needed to make for a charity auction so I spent an afternoon retrofitting some of the new design parts onto this old frame. It worked out extremely well. Very pleased with the results. The new sander is still in work and it will exceed the performance of this machine by a long way.
