CKUA’s Terry David Mulligan chats with with Anna McGarrigle (from the much loved duo Kate and Anna McGarrigle).
Anna McGarrigle wrote the song "Complainte Pour Ste Catherine" in 1975, which became a hit and is now the centerpiece of a National Film Board animated short called "The Girl in the Red Beret". The song is about the subway beneath Ste. Catherine street in Montreal and is sung by Kate's daughter Martha Wainwright and Anna's daughter Lily Lanken. The short film will be screened at the Edmonton International Film Festival and the Calgary International Film Festival.
