Hello and thanks for watching my updated MUGEN Roster of 2024.
I really felt one day I needed to change this roster eventually for reasons that will be mentioned down below. So, I took my time to rearrange all of them. I have done more rearrangement after I recorded the video, mostly because I didn't wanna record it again. So, what I show you here is basically all characters I feel comfortable with using to what I can remember. How did I decide with the arrangement?
1) All types of characters, like Metal Mario or even Spade Kaboomber's Super Mario Palettes, is grouped together as they would be a part of one character folder. Meaning that all of MarioSSBB palettes is even before any of LuigiSSBB palettes and so on. Easier as well to find the palettes made by other people instead of searching from the entire roster.
2) One version is added at a time, meaning there's no SM853 version before all of the ShinRyoga and NeOaNkH versions. Which also means the first version of anyone here is first before any other versions, like Spade Kaboomber is before Super Spade Kaboomber and so on. Little exception to this is that OrochiHomer's version of Super Mario Bros is before SM853's version.
3) All of the spriteswaps characters is at the end of the character list, meaning that Luigi Brando would count as a Dio Brando and therefore it's own section.
4) All YouTubers that is suppose to be together, like Malleozo1 and Weegeezo1, are also grouped together which means like Malleozo1 is moved forward from before.
5) Symboite Super Mario and Super Mama Luigi is moved in a order that I prefer to have, but mostly for those "main" edits that could also be done for YouTubers. So some of those are moved together instead of all over the place.
As you can see here too, there's less characters than before. If you now wouldn't like it, or the rearrangement, I still have the other file as a backup in case of whatever it could be for the future. Why is there less characters you might ask, and I will tell you down below.
1) Some characters have I been told to just never use again, like Mario_SNS, and sense I never use this laptop to anything else than making videos on YouTube for safety reasons, there's no use at all to keep any of those. Also fitting to this reason is that I also have characters that I probably wouldn't show ever so they are also gone for that reason.
2) Most of the characters that either are made by, characters that just are them, or any kind of connection with certain people is also deleted. The main reason I won't mention hopefully ever again but I don't wanna support them at all, and hopefully never see their names again no matter if it's on my channel or on your own channel or really any of the channels. So, if you can avoid that I would absolutely like that. However, due to my memory there's one exception to this: If I still have any characters, or stages as well, that is made by those YouTubers I haven't added in here is still in my roster. I would appricate it if I got told that immediately, or as soon as possible, for just the reason I don't want to support them anymore.
3) Because of the reason above, I have also not added any characters that felt to just be too similar to their work, like Symboite LuigiFan1 being a typical recolor for the most part. Which is the only unfortunately part of it but it felt to be for the best to do that.
So there's the three reason to why and whenever I like this change or not, it's probably just the best for my own sake. I don't know completely if there will be changes to the roster with characters that I still have in the characters folder, so I can't tell if this a final one or not. The future will tell that for us. There really isn't anything else to say about the roster that I haven't mentioned already so about the battle. I picked 8 different YouTubers that doesn't have any other versions of them that I have, even if I'm aware SSB AndersonKenya1 exists as an example. Also all of them doesn't have any form of buffs that would make the battle more unfair for one side as well. So I hope you enjoy this video and we will see what the next one will be.
