Controlling AR/MR smart glasses require using a gesture recognition camera, a temple area touchpad, a hand-held controller, or voice. These solutions depended on ambient light, line of sight, field of view, are not natural nor discreet, may result in safety hazards, and result in fatigue and hurting arms.
This video shows a simple and intuitive control method for AR, using subtle finger movements to navigate menus and operate the GUI. While the hand could be naturally laying on the armrest the mudra inspire device is raised so you can watch the gestures.
The Raptor by EverySight is a cycling smart glasses which are controlled using a touch-pad on the right temple area to navigate menus and select options.
The Mudra Inspire device is a wrist-wearable which detects subtle finger movements and translates them to control functions.
Swiping left or right between icons is achieved by moving the Index or Thumb fingers. Selecting a menu item is done by Middle-Tap - soft tap of the Middle finger on the Thumb. Going back one menu level is by using Double Middle-Tap.
