Was pleasantly surprised when I saw this bus coming to my bustop going home from work. Normally using a 1901-class D60LF in this time slot, Kearny Mesa Division sent out XN60 #1114 to test run this bus for the upcoming "Rapid Service" that will start June 8.
I wish the HVAC wasn't on, but Santa Ana conditions have put all of San Diego County from the mid 90s to triple digit temperatures. Officially Downtown San Diego high temperatures this week Mon-Fri: 88, 94, 93, 97, and 92. Also the heat, the Santa Ana winds, and dry conditions have allowed 8 different fires to burn in neighborhoods destroying homes.
