Mt. St. Helens - Harry Truman @PhilAndersonOutside

Harry Truman was a caretaker of a lodge at Mt. St. Helens. Having been there nearly his entire life, he refused to leave and was killed when the mountain erupted on May 18, 1980, his lodge buried under 300 feet of water, ash and mud, no trace of it left behind. The ridge nearby was later named in his honor. This special was aired on KOIN TV (CBS) ten years after the eruption. I later became an employee with KOIN, where I attained this footage.

What DOGE Really Wants from Federal Lands

$Last Moments Contemporary, dark ambient piece I composed a couple of years ago and reworked several times until arriving at this version. The music is somewhat split in two, with the first half being very dissonant and out of key or meter. The second half sounds more pleasing, but on its own its actually fairly dissonant, with several modulations in the chord and key structure. The voices are from ATC chatter and CVR recordings from actual aircraft incidences. The video was done in Adobe After Effects, using a few layers of fractal noise set to swirl and no plugins. The images are from actual aircraft incidents, but they do not match the ACT/CVR chatter, only to be complimentary to the music.
