Day 11

I’ve always considered myself to be a good dad.

Patient, understanding, a good communicator, and strict but fair, that’s how I wanted to be with my own boy as he grew up. It’s never that simple though, is it? You always have this image in your mind of how it’ll be when you’re idly thinking about fatherhood or seriously thinking about with your partner, but when it actually comes along and they aren’t the picturesque baby that you envisioned, you realize the world you had in your head comes crashing down and you’re going to fuck up on more than one occasion.
