Many older houses along the Eastern Shore are sheathed with wooden shingles, but how were they made? It's a task John has performed time and again for visitors, with many years of sawdust and smiles behind him. In this video, John demonstrates how the Shingle Mill works, and there’s a brief cameo at the end of his good friend Art. They're even dressed similarly!
Sadly, John Kennedy passed away on June 15, 2020. His legacy remains preserved here at Memory Lane in the numerous demonstrations and videos he contributed to over the years. He will be missed.
