Turns out that you can still play Mr. Crab if you turn off your wifi. I recently got the full version !
This run starts with me jumping before the countdown ends to get myself up onto the platform without having to deal with any weird wall collision.
When I got up to the horizontal spring, I did a short hop and timed a press right before I hit the spring to maximize the strength of my jump just right to not only stomp the walrus, but also the penguin, retaining my speed for longer. Upon landing, I do another jump saving time not having to climb the slope.
Now time for the fight against Pellegrino. I time my jump precisely around the blue berry to hit Pelle at the very edge of his hitbox, the fastest possible frame. From here I'm able to attack him over and over due to me hitting the ceiling and cancelling my stomp-jump.
Upon defeating any boss in the game, its hat will fling anywhere it desires. For Pelle, it's more likely than not that his hat simply falls down, making you have to take an entire round the level before collecting his hat, a huge time loss. Fortunately for me, the hat decided to fling a little bit to the right, exactly the direction I was going, letting me collect the hat much sooner than usual.
