*cough* ANYWAYS hi Im so glad I got into this map, I love every Ricky Montgomery song I listen to and this one was no exception. Plus the idea to shine some light on characters that dont get it as much is just MM I love it do much, so im so glad I got the opportunity to join!!
The main idea for this part is: Tommy Shepherd is always overshadowed and envious of his twin brother, Billy Kaplan, who has the family, lover, and connection to their soul mom (Wanda Maximoff) in a way that Tommy doesnt have, and feels like he never will.
In the comics, he thankfully does gain a family in the Young Avengers, becoming close to Billy, in Wanda and David Alleyne and the rest of the X-Men, but part takes place before all of that :)
Plus its kinda accurate to how the fandom treats them as well, even with their current smaller roles in the MCU. Everyone loves Billy (and I do too, dont get me wrong), but no one really looks twice at Tommy and that makes me Sad, he deserves love too!!!

HOWEVER, i havent read any of the newer books (anything past vision of shadows), so a LOT of this is just based off of stuff ive heard online, so take it with a grain of salt if you want! Holy man i am so proud of this. Ive worked on this for the past three days STRAIGHT, and it came out so much better than I expected!!! As soon as i heard this song on tiktok, i was like lmao someones gonna make a squirrelflight animatic/map to that. but then i realized... /I/ could be the one to make it. and so i did. plus the song is an absolute BANGER so its a win win
The video is a little all over the place timeline wise, so Ill update the description/make a pinned comment later with an explanation of all of the sections/scenes if wanted/needed!!!
But its essentially (spoilers for the animatic go watch it first lmao): Bramblestar decides to retire from leadership, so he and Squirrelflight, his deputy and mate, travel to the moonpool to recieve word from starclan as to what to do. Along the way, Squirrelflight remembers all of the shitty things thats happened in her life, a lot of them coinciding with Brambleclaw/star, and is very frustrated about how she always has to put her life and dreams aside for his. In a shocking turn of events, when she goes to ask Starclan for advice, they give her some lives, and make /her/ the new leader of Thunderclan! squirrelstar ftw
