Annabel Margaret | Moving to the Salish Sea | Finding My Home | Vlog 13 @AnnabelMargaretGreen | Uploaded October 2020 | Updated October 2024, 3 hours ago.
This was the most incredible adventure of my life.
Even though I've driven across the country three times now I had never taken the time like I did here. I stopped and listened to the earth and tried to see what it had to teach me and what place would eventually call me back, something I am so beyond grateful I did.
I've worked tirelessly for about two years now to get to this point both financially and physically to be able to go off and explore the world and it is without a doubt the greatest thing I have ever set off on in my life and I look forward to sharing it all here with you.
I began my trip in Virginia very very early on the morning of October 5th. It was cold and bit foggy but that's how it always is this time of the year there and I suppose not so surprisingly the weather was quite similar when I finally arrived 5 days later in the Pacific NorthWest.
States I travelled through:
Virginia
Maryland
Pennsylvania
West Virginia
Ohio
Indiana
Illinois
Iowa
South Dakota
Wyoming
Montana
Idaho
Washington
Top Three places I saw and would recommend venturing to:
Badlands National Park
-unbelievable rock formations, lots of wild buffalo and prairie dogs, most incredible night sky I've ever seen
Beartooth Highway
-absolutely without a doubt the most terrifying road I have ever driven on in my life but also absolutely without a doubt the most beautiful and awe inspiring sight I've ever seen. It takes you up on top of the mountain ranges through Montana and Wyoming and gifts you with the most incredible mountain views. you can see ranges for miles upon miles and honestly it's really just unlike anything I've ever seen
Lamar Valley, Yellowstone
-one of the most unique and beautiful places I've ever laid eyes on - it's full of wild buffalo and wolves and just beautiful beautiful scenery. The mountains were cast in this incredible blue and the grasslands had shifted into the most brilliant orange as autumn had fallen. Just a place that everybody should see at least once in their lives.
