Abdominal pumping and hemolymph pressure pulsation were different during CO2 burst and interburst periods. During burst periods, the magnitude of abdominal movements and pressure pulses was higher and lower, respectively. In the plot, the gray bands indicate the durations of CO2 bursts, and the white regions indicate durations between bursts (interburst).
