i just really like monster movie cinematography.
thank you carrie for understanding and for providing the pacific rim & jurassic world (& a little bit of the meg) content i could not.
i used godzilla king of the monsters, kong skull island, and a wee bit of rampage, which is a much less cinematic film but still some stupid fun.
very unintentionally started this collab last night with carrie, and then we both finished, and then the news was like "godzilla vs kong moved up by two months" and i was like "that's some good hype."
i don't think all these movies are great, but do my eyes care if they are not? đź‘€ nope. my eyeballs will eat this up all day.
this isn't meant to be a tribute to all monsters ever, obviously - we just focused on more recent ones for similar aesthetic purposes. i love me some old timey godzilla too; do not worry yourself.

I’ve had this sitting 98% finished in my files for a few months. I initially wanted to beta battle this song with someone, but no one was available at the time, so I just started doing it myself.
I don’t even like Peter Pan. And I have grown to kind of hate this song. Finishing was super hard.
But this is all I’ve had time to finish lately. I’ve been really busy, and I’m in another of those super deep editing ruts where I feel like I am just not good at this whole thing at all. 8) I lost my edge a long time ago, but I feel generally disconnected from all of youtube lately.

Anyway, yeah, I obviously only did this for the line about not having to grow up. Fun notes from my editing adventures:
I mostly tried to edit things we’ve watched together, with an emphasis on the recent stuff – that’s why there’s just so much DC in here oops. They took over the whole bridge with all the ships. Happy DC birthday, I guess.
I also put some stuff that only you’ve seen or are more fond of than me. And maybe some stuff I like better than you, like Lego Batman, but most of it is a both of us thing or a just you thing.
I tried to include Sherlock, but all the compilations were just Johnlock edits, and one was a compilation of “Watson’s best scenes” that was literally just two scenes. I thought that was hilarious, but alas, it did not help me in editing.
A lot of these are clips off of yt because I either couldn’t find downloads of the full things, or knew I would never edit them again, so excuse the quality discrepancies pleeeease.
I used episodes of The Batman and Justice League that we haven’t watched together yet, so oops. :’)
