In our state, it indicated 1 in 6 children are food insecure. If you can, I would encourage you to make a donation to your local food bank during the Holiday season to help those in need.
If you shop the sales, it doesn't have to be expensive. In what I bought the soups were .99 cents if purchasing 8, pasta was .49 cents if 5 or more qualifying items were purchased, and the cereals were around $1.50 a box after sale and coupon applied.
