The golems spawned in my village are clustered in a certain area. So I plucked up the courage and with the help of a lead managed to move a Golem to another area of my domain.
Be careful not to left click the Golem! To put the rope around his neck, right click! Also, right click when you want to drop the rope off the Golem.
