Being a big guy with a beard, I tend to get stopped and "swabbed" at the local airport almost every time I go through security. This is part of an ongoing experiment to see what they do when I adjust my appearance.
I used to make very useful extra income as a TV and film "extra" because of my thuggish appearance. You get a LOT more work as a TV or movie extra (background actor) if you have a non-standard look. There are huge advantages to being big, ugly or otherwise "different" in showbiz.
The shaver is an eBay "skeleton shaver". I reverse engineered it in a video:-

It does have one weakness. If long hair gets wrapped around the motor shaft it can stall it, and you can't tell if it's still on or off!
