Mount Waas, elevation 12,331 ft., is the highpoint for Grand County above Moab.
Third time's a charm! The first attempt to Beaver Basin ended well short of the trailhead due to mud and a snow-drift blocking the road.
The second try up Miners Basin, got turned around by knee deep snow (getting deeper as I ascended) near the trailhead.
This year, I was planning to get it before any snow fell, but the early September storm with more on the way made me accelerate my timeline. Whew! Just made it!
