I hiked up Tiger Hill with the the crowd to see the sunrise by Mount Everest in Darjeeling, Sikkim, West Bengal, India.
Mount Everest (8848 meters) was visible. Mount Kanchenjunga (8598 meters) looked even higher than Mt. Everest, because of the curvature of the Earth. Mt. Kanchenjunga was several miles closer to me than Mt. Everest.
On clear days all of the peaks of Mount Khanchendzonga massif stretch across the horizon and ate visible. Kumbhakarna, Pandim, Kabru, and Nursing mount peaks are visible. The snowy peaks of Bhutan and Nepal look very prominent from where were were standing on Tiger Hill.
