Here is a June 7, 2023, flyover of Mount Edgecumbe volcano's crater. An international team, led by University of Alaska Fairbanks Geophysical Institute scientists, has been in Sitka for more than a week and has been flying to Kruzof Island daily to measure ground carbon dioxide emissions on the crater rim and at sea level. They will compare that data to years of satellite data that indicate low temperature thermal anomalies at many of the test sites. UAF video by Társilo Girona.
