This is one of two 12" mixes released in the U.K. for "Mothers Talk". The U.S. single did not come out until 1986 but included both remixes on the same disc. This mix is more of a dub version but was the featured remix on the U.S. 12" single. My copy is a promo but the commercial release is identical.
Remixed and re-recorded by Ian Stanley, Chris Hughes and Dave Bates.

Recorded using a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO turntable with Acryl-It platter, record clamp and AT VM540ML cart. All records are cleaned on a VPI 16.5 with Adobe Audition CC used for recording and processing with clicks removed manually.

This song first appeared on the album Seven And The Ragged Tiger and a live recording was released as the b-side of the single The Wild Boys. Wikipedia says this was recorded at Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto, ON, Canada, March 5, 1984, but I could not find a source for this as it is not listed on the record.

Gloria Gaynors debut album was released this week in January 1975 and holds the distinction of being the first disco LP featuring a complete side of uninterrupted music. Side one strings together the hits Honey Bee, Never Can Say Goodbye and Reach Out, Ill Be There into an 18-minute continuous mix while side two contains five songs in a more traditional presentation. I had a difficult time finding a quiet copy of this LP but ended up with a very nice Japanese pressing which solved the noise issues.

Gloria Gaynor recorded a Spanish language version of I Will Survive at some point during the songs successful run in 1978-79. Polydor released a new 12 single with the disco smash original on side 1 and this Spanish version on the other. Hoping someone has more information on this alternate version.
