In this video I’m unpacking how capitalism and the nuclear family model destroyed community care, turned motherhood into unpaid labor, and created the birth rate crisis governments love to blame on women.
From the motherhood penalty and fatherhood bonus, to the way domestic labor props up the economy, this is how society learned to glorify mothers while quietly hating them. The system profits off women’s exhaustion, punishes them for parenting, and then panics when they stop having kids. It’s not a fertility crisis, it’s a system crisis.
