A white liberal woman just said “Mother Mary wore the hijab” to defend forced Islamic dress codes.

Let’s be clear:

If a nun decides not to wear her habit today, she keeps her job, her freedom, and her life.

If a woman in Iran (or under hardline Islamic rule) decides not to wear the hijab… she can end up beaten, imprisoned, or dead. Ask Mahsa Amini.

One is a voluntary religious choice.
The other is enforced by morality police and state violence.

Equating the two isn’t “tolerance.” It’s either extreme ignorance or deliberate gaslighting.

Western women who defend the hijab while living in free countries have no idea what they’re cheering for.

Freedom means the right to take it off without dying.
