Ah, Summerbash VII. This was an annual summer "festival" organized and hosted by one Bill Schaaf. Bill lived on several acres of cleared land on the edge of the county and was an avid supporter of local music. He came up with the idea of hosting weekend-long music festivals and soon it became an anticipated event every year. Naturally we just had to participate and as luck would have it, we made our appearance on the heels of a fabulous gig supporting Foghat on their reunion tour. Summerbash was really less of a show and more of a party, as evidenced by this video. "Torpedo Girl" was an odd choice for inclusion in our setlist, but 3/5 of the band were KISS fans so it was a no-brainer. Strangely enough, it went on to be one of our most beloved closers. Bill Schaaf was tragically killed in a car accident just two years later and Summerbash essentially died with him. R.I.P. Shaafi!
