All New Bosses in Mother 2 Deluxe Version 3.0 on Insane Difficulty. Played on 3.0.7. Unlocks the "Virtual Insanity" Achievement.
Insane Mode doubles the price of all items and makes all damage instant, removing Earthbound's scrolling HP mechanic completely.
Major balance changes since the last bosses video:
- Pencil Rocket 20 accuracy decreased by 42% against single targets. (my b)
- PK Beam Alpha/Beta/Gamma/Omega damage decreased by 10%.
- Burning status effect deals 25% less damage. 25% more likely to go out per turn.
- The Gutsy Bat can now be obtained much earlier, being available in Magicant to use in the demons fight and the two super bosses that follow. For this video I am rocking the much weaker Magicant Bat until the Final Boss.
Still very fun! I liked the doubled item prices since on Deluxe difficulty all the optional content made it so you always had tens of thousands of dollars to spare. Though by the end of Insane mode you still have more than enough money to burn on Pencil Rockets.
