The music artists that had the most weeks in the UK top 40 singles charts from 1980 to 1989!

Every song for every week is counted, e.g. if an artist had two songs in the top 40 at the same time then both count towards their total. Artists who are featured on another artist's song and duets are also counted, e.g. Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson's "The Girl is Mine" counts for both individual artists.
