Top Fives | MOST Incredible Bridge Design @topfives | Uploaded July 2024 | Updated October 2024, 13 hours ago.
Most of the time, bridges are boring, flat, and otherwise unmemorable. But this is not the case for Singapore’s Henderson Waves Bridge. A foot bridge with an organic wave-like design, it has a walkway made of wood but is surrounded by a series of steel waves. The idea behind this design was to make the bridge fit in with the nature surrounding it, as it connects Mount Faber Park and Telok Blangah Hill Park. The best time to visit is at night, as if you’re there between the hours of 7 pm and 2 am, you can see the bridge light up, creating a wave of light that flows through the Singapore night. Therefore, if you’d like a break from the skyscrapers and want a bit of greenery and cool architecture, Henderson Waves Bridge is the place to be while staying in Singapore!
