This is one of the most difficult fishing challenges; it will push our tackle to the absolute breaking point. The challenge? Catch a 500lb grouper on spinning gear. The margin for error is nearly zero. Once hooked, these fish immediately swim for structure. You have to stop a 500lb fish in less than 50ft before it breaks your line in the wreck. The structure is what makes these fish so difficult to catch. Without structure, the angler has all the advantage. To battle these giants, I brought in bluefin tuna expert Theo Gonet. He has successfully landed tuna over 700lbs on spinning gear. Theo is about to discover his limits...
