Most Dangerous Ways To School: Siberia, India & Burma
Most Dangerous Ways To School - Philippines, Colombia & Bolivia: youtu.be/yY53YY0KfRY
Stas, 7, has always lived on the vast, icy plains of Siberia. Now his life is about to change. He will be staying at boarding school for the next year. It takes him several hours by sled to rendezvous with the helicopter that picks up all the nomadic children from the region.
In the Indian village where 10-year-old Chanda lives, everybody works at the mine. She does too. She begins her day each morning at dawn and has to wait before she can put on her school uniform to start the long walk to school. Chanda walks for an hour through the stifling air of one of the most polluted regions in the world. Still, she dreams of a better life.
San and Wai know the temples of Burma like the back of their hand and for a good reason: they visit them to sell drawings to tourists there. Only by earning enough money to pay for tuition, can they attend school two hours away across the rice fields.
