In this great episode of Burbex - Brin's Urban Exploration, Brin is joined by The Night Bird exploring the most beautiful abandoned village in the world on the island of Houtouwan, the most easterly island in China.
The once vibrant fishing village was slowly left to rot as the younger generation moved to the mainland, leaving the ivy and brambles to run wild. The island is now mostly controlled by the PLA Airforce, who patrol the village at night.
Not only do the duo discover he whole village covered in vines and completely abandoned, but in the school house there are some spooky coffins left behind.

In maybe the most exciting episode of Burbex in 2021, Brin is exploring TWO Cold War bunkers, under a mountain, abandoned since the late 1950s. Inside these Chinese Army fallout shelters, Brin starts to lose his sense of direction and starts to panic as the echoes around him, turn into unseen figures in the darkness beneath the mountain. That is not the only thing that is setting Brins nerves on edge though.
As well as underground reservoirs which seem infinitely dark and deep, at the far end of the extensive tunnels, Brin finds bricked up arches behind which he can hear the rumbling of a live military base. Will Brin succumb to the darkness, the soldiers, or the untold terrors which lurk in the dark, tune in to find out.
