The occasion was a coffee house setting just outside Port Carling, Muskoka, on Oct. 29th. Mose is singing"Marie", a 1928 Irving Berlin tune later made famous by the Tommy Dorsey recording. The coffee house was actually the home of Gayle Dempsey and Gary Froud, founders of the Muskoka Lakes Music Festival. The evening was organized by well-known folk singer Beverlie Robertson. The evening brought Mose and me together for the first time in a quarter of a century. He hadn't forgotten that we played together once at Ben Wicks's Tavern in Toronto back then. What a memory!
