Mortal Shell 2 is coming out later this year, but if you want a taste now, you can download the open beta as part of Steam Next Fest. The demo has you gaining your first shell, Harros, which returns from the first game, only instead of turning yourself to stone to repel attacks, you can actually turn opponents into stone! Ranged combat is also now a thing, allowing you to mix up your damage between light attacks, heavy attacks, ranged attacks, and shell skills. With gorgeous visuals, tight combat, and slick animations, Mortal Shell 2 is already shaping up to be a worthy successor.
