This is an alternative version of the Genesis/Mega Drive game, where the bosses and hidden characters are specially made playable, as well as adding other new features and content. The game is known as Mortal Kombat II Unlimited, and the m0d is made by a person named Smoke, a.k.a BIGBOSS. This is version 1.0 of the game.

This is a playthrough using Mabochie in the PS1 version of Soul Edge (Japanese version). Read on below for more information...
Mabochie is an unused gameplay character, which means that she is a non-selectable character in the game.
WHO IS MABOCHIE
Mabochie is the ghost version of Chie, who is Li Longs partner. Mabochie appears in his good ending. Its the one where she appears in front of Li Long and tells him to go back to her.
UNUSED CHARACTER INFO
The unused characters are created just to be used in specific character endings; to act in certain ways for the story/scene. They are created as gameplay character models just like the regular characters, likely built on using a regular character as a template, which explains why they have other characters movesets.
The reason that they are able to appear in gameplay fights is because the ending scenes use the actual gameplay characters/models in a gameplay environment.
In the games code, Namco has stored these characters along with the regular characters within the same address (via separate slots/data banks), meaning that by using third party methods, you can access them for gameplay.
It is unknown on whether they were originally further planned to become playable hidden characters or not.
MABOCHIE TECHNICAL INFORMATION
- On the character select screen, her large portrait is the generic hidden character ? image.
- Her icon is the generic hidden character ? image.
- In gameplay, she uses Seung Minas name under her lifebar.
- In gameplay, she uses Seung Minas moveset.
- In gameplay, her weapon is invisible which means that you can only see the light trails of it.
- She has no voices.
- As she has no voices, it works in a way where her sound bank has the ability to copy other sounds. For example, she copies/uses Soul Edges voices when fighting him. It is strange on how she doesnt copy other characters voices here.
- There can be some glitched sounds/voices that occur when she performs some moves at certain points during fights, you can hear an example of this at 01:39 in the video.
- Regarding her voice, she uses/copies the voices of the previously selected character. So for example, in Arcade Mode if you selected Cervantes, then changed your character to Chie, then Chie will use Cervantes voices. This seems to carry over to other modes in the game.
- She has no announcer name voice. Which means that if you win a round/match with her, there will be no voice after the announcer says The grueling battle ended with the victory of ....... Or if you lost a round/match with her.
- If you beat the game with her, the game does not crash. There is no ending and you go straight to the credits. It seems that they have made her status as a hidden character status (Sophitia!!, etc.)
- She cannot appear in the name entry screen nor can she appear in any rankings tables.
- When viewing her Command List, it is named as MABOCHIE.
- In gameplay, she has no facial expression changes at all.
- She only has the one costume we see in the video.
- If you select her in Edge Master mode, it will freeze the game, which you see starting around 22:19 in the video.
- In Edge Master mode, her weapon list is glitched. You can see this starting around 22:19 in the video.
- She can lose her weapon and operate as a non-weapon character (this is normal function). You can see this starting at 20:01 in the video.

MABOCHIE TRIVIA
- Her name Chie means thousand and/or favour or benefit.
- In Japanese, the word Mabo is derived from the word Maboroshi, which means ghost or phantasm.
OTHER INFORMATION / TRIVIA
- In the USA and Europe, the game was renamed as Soul Blade due to copyright issues over the use of the word Edge.
- In the USA and European versions of the game, slight parts of the intro was edited/changed slightly.
- In the European version of the game, Li Longs weapon was changed.
ABOUT PS1 SOUL EDGE/BLADE
The PS1 version of the game is one of the all-time greats on the console, and is one of the best conversion/port of an arcade game for its time. Aside from the loading times (which are very short anyway) its virtually arcade perfect. It helped that the arcade original ran on hardware that was already based on the PS1 hardware.
The PS1 version has tons of features that are not found in the arcade original. For example, the port has 2 extra remixed soundtracks, new character costumes, new weapons, cinematic endings for the characters, the superb Edge Master Mode and more.")

This is a playthrough using Omega Rugal in his boss status mode in the Arcade version of King of Fighters 2002. Read on below for more information...
Omega Rugal is the final boss of the game, and he is a non-selectable character in the Neo-Geo MVS version of it.
ABOUT BOSS STATUS
His status can be set up (through third party methods) for a human player to play him just like the CPU Omega Rugal you fight against at the end of the game. By doing it this way, you get to play as him as a registered lone character. This is the proper boss status mode that the CPU uses for the mid-boss and final boss, it is NOT the Single Play mode.
POSSIBLE GLITCH
A glitch can occur when using this mode which can crash/reset the game. This happens on the Order Select screen where despite being a lone character, it still gives you the chance to select the other character B and C members (there is no-one in these slots). If the player chooses a B or C member, it will reset the game. This can of course be avoided by the player as long as he/she chooses member A as the 1st character, which is of course the lone character.
Additionally, besides the 1st stage, on the Order Select screen, after the member A is selected by the player, it shows two glitched graphics/symbols in the places that would otherwise have been for the numbers 2 and 3. You can see this happen the video.
HOW TO SELECT OMEGA RUGAL
This can only be done on the Neo-Geo AES home version of the game. On the character select screen, Omega Rugal is located at the black box (where the countdown timer is usually displayed), he is at the 3rd spot of the box.

ABOUT 2002 OMEGA RUGAL
As this is the second dream match KOF game, its fitting that Omega Rugal makes another appearance as the final boss to torment players with, given that he is the staple KOF end boss.
Gameplay-wise, this is the best and most powerful version of him, but personally I like the KOF98 Omega Rugal better, and I also much prefer his 98 boss music theme, the one that goes make some noise at the beginning.
2002 Rugal has also unfortunately omitted his previous incarnations Gravity Smash special move, which I always thought was a signature and defining move of Omega Rugal. (for the record, the Gravity Smash projectile graphic is within 2002 Rugals fully-charged Kaiser Wave and HSDM, but it does not work in the same way as in 98)
GAME INFORMATION & TRIVIA
Regarding the Boss Status mode, in single player mode, besides the 1st stage, every time you get back to the Com Team Select screen, there are sounds that indicate that a Random Select function is happening before the CPU opponents show up. It may be that the Boss Status mode is related to the Random Select feature in some way.
In the Arcade MVS version of of the game, on the character select screen, Omega Rugals slot is located at the same spot as Angels. Obviously it is normally not possible to access this slot.
As Omega Rugal is a legitimately playable character in the Home AES version of the game, it means that he has an image portrait on the character select screen.
In the home AES version of the game, on the character select screen, when Rugal is highlighted, you cannot see the cursor.
The character is not referred to as Omega Rugal in the game, instead only as Rugal.
Before the battle against CPU Omega Rugal, his stage is the only one in the game to have an opening/intro (where the mechanical door/wall rises), much like the stage intros you got in KOF94 and CvS1.

John is the 6th enemy character in the 1-player Story Mode. He is a playable character, but he can only be used in 2-player versus matches.
HOW TO SELECT JOHN
He is available on the character select screen whenever youre in 2-player versus mode.
JOHN MOVES

Overdrive Kick: QCB + Kick
JOHN GAMEPLAY
His Mega Smash projectile has a long hitbox which means that opponents are likely to land on it from jumps, and his Overdrive Kick comes out quickly. His normals/basics are average.
JOHN INFORMATION
He does not have a Super nor a Desperation move.
When playing as him in a 1P game, his last opponent is John Crawley. Which means that he does not fight Mr. Big and Mr. Karate.
After the Bonus Games, if it shows the special move advice commands, you cannot see his demonstrations but can hear his sounds.
As this is the original version of the Arcade game, you need to avoid certain Bonus Games or/and avoid certain outcomes in the Bonus Games with him to progress. Otherwise it will cause leftover text/sprite elements that WILL eventually corrupt the game during matches.
After the Bonus Games, the text box can be blank for certain outcomes, and when it shows the Robert car scene, the text box is blank and the wrong text is shown at the bottom.
In the Bonus Game where you need to perform the Haou Shoukou Ken multiple times, he obviously cannot pass it as he doesnt have the move.
JOHN GLITCHES
As mentioned above, getting the wrong outcome in the Bonus Games will cause leftover graphical elements for the rest of the game that will lead to corruption and crashes. You can see this in the video starting around 05:35.
Game crash and reset at around 6:47.
In the original version of the game, in the Ice Pillar bonus game, if you fill up the gauge, it will produce a set of glitched Ryo sprites because the character status is John. You can see this from around 05:06 in the video.
The glitches happen because John is not meant to be used in a 1P game.
TRIVIA
The debut game of John Crawley.
In Art of Fighting 2, his nickname in the English version of the game is The Shell-Shocked Psycho.
He was considered for inclusion in KOFXIV along with Jack Turner. Neither made the cut due to their lack of popularity.
In terms of game-affecting roles, aside from AOF1 and AOF2, his only other appearance is in Quiz King of Fighters.
He is considered a rip-off of Guile from Street Fighter II, due to the somewhat obvious military aspects and especially the similar elements in his stage/background.
THE ORIGINAL GAME
The version of Art of Fighting 1 seen in this video is the original version. As it is the original version, it means that glitches, halts, freezes and crashes can potentially happen when playing as enemy and boss characters in a 1-player game. These problems occur because of the Bonus Games, and there are ways to get round this within the game as you long as you know how. Also, you dont get to fight Mr. Karate when playing as the enemy characters.
ABOUT AOF1
The game features impressively large 2D sprites for its time. The AOF series, with its usage of graphical zooming, music style, sound effects and voices, has always gave you that intense and stylish atmospheric feel in fights.

Geese is a hidden final boss in the game, and he is a non-selectable character in this version of it.

ABOUT AOF2 GEESE
The AOF2 incarnation of him is basically a younger Geese with a different design. As this isnt a Fatal Fury game, you could consider this a guest appearance of the Southtown boss.
Personally, I actually like this design much better than his usual attire in the Fatal Fury/KOF games.
HOW TO FIGHT CPU GEESE
Play through a single-player game without losing a Round. You will then fight him after Mr.Big.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
On the character select screen, if you select him without any button other than A, his portrait image will have glitched colours.
On the character select screen, if he is selected, he has animation of his portrait image. This usually would not occur normally in the game and suggests that he may have been planned to be a selectable character.
He only has the one proper colour palette we can see in most of the video. The other 3 colours are glitched. These colours are demonstrated starting at 36:48 in the video.
For his pre-fight intros he uses Ryos animations, in which his opponent also uses Ryos animations as well in response. The colour palettes of the actual character are copied onto Ryos sprites and looks glitched. This happens because he does not have a normal pre-fight intro.
In the winner/loser screen, his texts/dialogues is incorrect.
In the Bonus Game where you have to hit the tree, when he strikes it he uses Temjins animation. You can see this at 06:55 in the video. The after-text is for Ryo.
In the Bonus Game where you have to use the special move, the game instructs him to do one of Temjins special moves. Obviously Geese cannot do this so he cannot complete this bonus game. The after-text is for Ryo.
On the Winner/Loser and Continue screens, he doesnt have a lose portrait.
On the Continue screen, the move advice is for Temjin.
If you beat the game with him, he uses Mr.Bigs endings.
When charging his gauge, it charges up much faster than the regular characters.
When against CPU Geese, the pre-fight intros are still glitched Ryos, but CPU Geeses Ryo will be positioned at the television monitor.
In gameplay, he uses some Ryo sprites. For example you can see this when you wall jump with him; and also when you play Geese vs Geese, using his Blow & Uppercut move on him will show his Ryo sprites when he rises and falls down. This suggests that he was built on Ryos character data.
In his portrait image, it looks as if he has short hair instead. There is a possibility that SNK may have originally intended for him to have short hair, but changing their minds later.
TRIVIA
In all versions/ports of the game, he is legitimately playable only in the SNES port.
He can be known as Young Geese.
Young Geese makes another appearance in KOF Neowave.

WHO IS SOPHITIA!!
Sophitia!! is an alternative version of Sophitia, in her swimsuit. This is the character model that appears in her Good ending (where she bathes in the lake).
Moveset-wise, it appears to be exactly the same as regular Sophitias.

- On the character select screen, her large portrait is the generic hidden character ? image.

ABOUT PS1 SOUL EDGE/BLADE
The PS1 version of the game is one of the all-time greats on the console, and is one of the best conversion/port of an arcade game for its time. Aside from the loading times (which are very short anyway) its virtually arcade perfect. It helped that the arcade original ran on hardware that was already based on the PS1 hardware.
The PS1 version has tons of features that are not found in the arcade original. For example, the port has 2 extra remixed soundtracks, new character costumes, new weapons, cinematic endings for the characters, the superb Edge Master Mode and more.")

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

- Being a set boss character in Arcade Mode, you get to have a mirror match against him if you select him as your character to play as.
- If you play as Sagat using the default Jab colour palette in single-player mode and reach CPU Sagat, CPU Sagat will be allocated the Strong colour palette.
- The bosses and E.Honda are the only characters who do not have a unique backwards walking animation in the SF2 series.
- He is the only SFII boss who did not get his name switched/changed outside of Japan.
ABOUT SNES SSF2
This is regarded as one of the best games on the SNES, and with good reason. The game did not generate as much hype in comparison to the prequel SFIIT did (because everyone wanted and got to play as the bosses), but nevertheless it was still extremely popular.
The game comes in a 32 Megabit cartridge, and those with a good eye for graphics and are familiar with the Arcade version of the game can tell that the storage was somewhat scarce... for example, a lot of the character endings are missing images/parts; in the intro Ryu is missing a lot of frames of animations; there isnt even a voice for the Round [x] and Fight before a fight starts. Despite these downsides, the game is very complete for the SNES standards.
USA/EUR/JPN AUDIO DIFFERENCES
It should be noted that audio-wise, there are differences between the different region versions of the game. They are as follows:
- In the USA version, they added the announcer voices for the names of the winning characters in 2-Player matches, for example Cammy Wins. Just like in the Arcade version. The extra memory required to store these extra voices resulted in the BGM music quality having to be slightly lowered for most of the tracks to the point where some instruments sound different. And you can tell this difference if you listen and compare the versions.
- In the Japanese version, there are no announcer voices for the winning characters names in 2-Player matches. The announcer just says You Win for every winning character. Therefore this means that some of the music BGM themes are of a slightly higher quality and sound better.
- In the European version, it follows the Japanese version. However some of the instruments in the music have been improved, particularly the drum beats.
- Regarding Cammy, in the Japanese version her anti-air and spinning drill special moves have her saying Cannon Spike and Spiral Arrow (sounds like Sign Em Out) respectively. In the other versions these special moves have her saying Thrust Kick and Cannon Drill instead.

HOW TO SELECT OLD/SSFII BALROG
On the character select screen, select Balrog with any button, and immediately input Right, Left, Left, Right and then press LP or LP + LK.
If youve done it correctly youll hear Balrogs voice and his portrait colours will change into his original ones.

OLD/SSFII BALROG DIFFERENCES
As this is the old SSFII version of him, it means that he does not the Super Combo gauge, which of course means that he does not have the Crazy Buffalo moves. Special moves-wise, he doesnt have the Dash Low punches.
Regarding other differences, one of the these is that his Dash Straight special move hits crouching opponents... the new version of him doesnt. This gives Old Balrog a significant advantage regarding this move.
ABOUT BALROG
Probably the most famous fighting game boxer (in a non-boxing-focused game of course)... back in SFII:WW he was clearly designed to reference Mike Tyson, and the chance of a potential lawsuit from him is the reason on why Capcom USA switched around the names of 3 of the bosses.
In comparison to his WW, CE and HF appearances, the SSFII version of him gained a load of new animation/normals for his crouching and jumping attacks, making him a more rounded-out and flexible character. A new special move is also added in the form of the Buffalo Headbutt, which is a great anti-air with invincibility properties at start-up that allows him to escape/dodge projectiles. For SSFIIX/SSFIIT, he gains two new low dash punches, as well as a Super Combo.
Its also interesting on how his new SSFII/SSFIIX in-gameplay animations/spritework kind of doesnt match his old spritework.
OTHER INFORMATION / TRIVIA
Old Balrog has two colour palettes. The first is the original World Warrior colours; and the second are unique colours that is specially made for Old Balrog.
The second unique colour palette is made specially for SSFIIX/SSF2T.
There is no instance in the game where the CPU is in control of Old Balrog.
Being the 1st boss, hell always appear as the 9th opponent when the player plays through single player mode.
Being a set boss character in single-player mode, you get to have a mirror match against him if you select him as your character to play as.
When Balrog is controlled by the CPU, his Turn Punch is slightly different when the CPU does it.

Robo-Ky is a hidden mode character in the game, meaning that he is an unlockable playable character.
HOW TO UNLOCK ROBO-KY
Robo-Ky is obtained through the use of a special gameplay option mode. This option mode is called the GG Mode, which needs to be unlocked. Here are the steps:
1) To unlock GG Mode: Either reach Level 100 in Survival Mode; OR beat Arcade Mode with every character. If you go the way of the latter, you can do it on any difficulty and you can use as many continues as you want.
2) Now go into the Option mode, go to Game Option and you will see the GGMode setting. Enable this.
3) Now simply start a game and choose Ky Kiske. He will be Robo-Ky whenever GG Mode is enabled.

General is the hidden true final boss in this game. He is a non-selectable character.

ABOUT GENERAL
General is the commander of a space station in orbit, and is the sponsor of The Kaiser Knuckle tournament. His reasons for holding the competition is a mystery.
GAMEPLAY BOSS PROPERTIES
As General is an unplayable boss character, he will of course have moves that are extremely powerful, fast and have high priority; and/or be performed via unorthodox command inputs. Some of these include:
- A super-fast low sliding sweep that travels a large distance and hits multiple times if blocked.
- His three Special moves are his Normals, performed via simultaneous 2-button presses (which would give a regular character the strength 4 and strength 5 Normal punches/kicks).
- His two aura attack special moves instantly come out without delay and inflicts high damage.
TECHNICAL/ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- On the character select screen, when General is highlighted, his icon on the wheel is of Gekkou.
- In single-player mode, after he is selected and begins the game, he uses Marcos prologue story. You will only see this in the Japanese version of the game (the version I am playing in the video).
- After he loses a match, on the losing screen when his body moves up, it turns into and uses Marcos body sprite, but keeping his color palette which makes it looked glitched. This fault occurs because General is never supposed to appear on the losing screen. You can see this starting around 24:26 in the video.
- When playing as the General, on the VS screen, before it enters the fight screen, he will crash and reset the game because he has no entrance routine programmed in. You can see this starting around 26:29. This is because he isnt meant to appear on the VS screen. You must skip/bypass the VS screen to progress. What is interesting is that the first part of the routine has been made (where he gets up from sitting).
- He only has the one colour palette we see in the video.
- Despite being an unplayable character, he operates perfectly on the Continue screens.
- His Super Punch, Extreme Punch and Extreme Kick (which are his Normals by pressing two attack buttons together) are his Special Moves!
- On Marcos stage/background, when the area to the right is broken and accessed, General appears on a TV monitor in this area.
- On the hidden final stage against General, the player General enters the fight screen in the same way as the CPU General!
TRIVIA
- Generals aura special moves could have been inspired by M. Bisons hand auras from SFII.
- In the game, in the invite text of the prologue, the world Knuckle is spelled as Knucle.
- The USA version of the game is known as Global Champion. As well as the title text, the title screen is also different in it.
- Kazuya, Lihua and Liza had their character select/versus screen portrait/icon images changed/edited in the non-Japanese versions of the game.
- In the non-Japanese versions of the game, the doctor/ambulance guy who runs in after a match is removed.
- In the non-Japanese versions of the game, the character prologues have been removed.
ABOUT KAISER KNUCKLE
Kaiser Knuckle is a game released in 1994, where the structure of the roster is somewhat loosely based on Street Fighter II: The World Warrior - and that is with 9 selectable characters and 3 unplayable bosses. Because of this structure, General is a character that sort of reminds me of M. Bison in a way... only in terms of him being in a soldiers uniform and the whole army getup.

ABOUT VEGA
Probably the most famous fighting game narcissist... his design is most certainly unique - a combination of a matador and a ninja. In comparison to his WW, CE and HF appearances, he gained a whole load of new normals and two new special moves for SSF2. He really developed as a far more rounded-out and flexible character to the point that he was almost like an entirely new character.
GAMEPLAY
Vega may be one of the fastest and long-ranged characters in the game, but to balance this out, his damage output has always been generally lower when compared to most of the other characters in the game.

In SSF2 and SSF2T, even when he is on his own background (Spain), he does not climb the fence when performing his Barcelona Attack. This also means that a CPU-controlled Vega has to use the side wall Barcelona Attack as well.
If the player plays through the game as Vega in his default colour palette (Jab), when you reach CPU Vega, the CPU Vega will use the second (Strong/CE) colour instead. This means that there is no instance where the CPU Vega can use any other colour palette besides the Default (WW) and Strong (CE) colours.
In gameplay, his claw switches to his other arm when he switches sides. This is due to the functionality of 2D sprite management (unless another complete set of unique sprites are created with his claw on his other arm for facing one way).
Regarding his ending sequence, the image of him holding the mask (the first picture) was not in the SNES port. Also in the SNES port, the second picture of his face and the leaping Vega wasnt a whole picture - they were separate items where it first shows Vegas face, then the leaping Vega would scroll in.
ABOUT ARCADE SSFII
As the previous games World Warrior, Champion Edition and Hyper Fighting ran on the CPS-1 hardware with the same base, SSFII was the first proper rebuild or refresh of the game, running on the CPS-II hardware. Almost everything besides the gameplay character sprites has been redrawn, and the character portrait and icon images are completely new. Many of the ending images are also new and/or have been redrawn. The bosses receive proper endings. The superior sound hardware is evident in the new music, voices and sound effects (although some may prefer the previous three games sounds of course).
The most significant new feature is the addition of the four new characters Cammy, Feilong, Deejay and T.Hawk, which of course also brings along four new stages/backgrounds and BGMs.
The gameplay speed reverts back to the CE-esque speed after the fast pace of the previous game Hyper Fighting. This resulted in some complaints of SSF2 being too slow, in which the next game in the series rectified.

Ogre II is the final boss of the game, and this is his 2nd form. He is a time-release unlockable playable character.

HOW TO SELECT OGRE II
From the games first power on, Ogre II will be selectable in 114 days. Prior to that youll get the ENHANCED OGRE COMING SOON message in 109 days.
OGRE II STORY
The 2nd form of him, called True Ogre, is basically a beast. When in this form he loses the ability to speak and acts like a wild beast, however he also gains the ability to fly and breathe fire. This form of him was eventually defeated by Jin Kazama after Paul Phoenix beat the 1st form of Ogre and left the scene early.
OGRE II GAMEPLAY
Like Ogre I, this guys fighting style is basically an amalgamation of moves from various other Tekken characters... mostly ones from the prequels who are not present in Tekken 3. Such characters include Baek, Wang, Bruce, Jun, Lee, Kazuya, Kunimitsu, Ganryu and Armor King. In the Arcade version here, Anna is among these characters because her actual character/moveset isnt in this version of the game.
Ogre II / True Ogre does have some unique moves of his own however, and these moves include the two fire-breathing moves, a series of tail attacks, a horn attack and a flying swoop move when he gets up from the ground. He loses the Ancient Power move that the 1st form of him has though.
INFORMATION / TRIVIA
In the Arcade version of the game, there is a glitch whereby on the first occasion you get to Ogre II and you lose to him and Continue, youll only fight Ogre II (without fighting Ogre I anymore) if you use subsequent Continues. The glitch here is that despite fighting Ogre II, only Ogre Is music theme will play, meaning that Ogre IIs music theme never plays.
In the Arcade version of the game, he is never referred to as True Ogre unlike in the PS1 version of it.
In the Arcade version of the game, he is reportedly referred to as Enhanced Ogre in the time-release messages.
In single-player mode, if the player uses Heihachi and beats 1st form Ogre, Ogre will absorb Jins power instead of Heihachi to become Ogre II / True Ogre.
Whenever his second form (Ogre II / True Ogre) is in battle, the stage background will always be pitch black except for the ground. The darkness can be removed via third party methods.
He and an advanced version of him appears in the Devil Within mode in the PS2 version of Tekken 5.
In single-player mode, he still fights against himself as the last boss.
