Mortal Kombat 2 Movie (2026) just dropped MULTIPLE new teasers, trailers, and clips over the last 24 hours, and in this video we’re breaking down all the new footage and hidden details ahead of the May 8 release! While nothing too major gets fully revealed, we do get longer looks at several key scenes including the Shao Kahn vs King Jerrod battle with new shots of Shao launching his hammer, more of the Baraka vs Johnny Cage fight in the Tarkatan war camp, and additional footage from the Blue Portal sequence featuring Liu Kang and Kung Lao that looks straight out of the games. There are also new glimpses of Johnny Cage interacting with Shang Tsung, hinting at soul magic being used against him, plus another look at Sonya using her powers in the throne room before things go left for Special Forces. On top of that, early screening reactions continue to come in and they still seem overwhelmingly positive, with fans calling the film a bloody good time that raises the bar with better fights, stronger characters, and that full arcade-style energy.
