Kung Lao's moveset. Basically, the moves you know from him (except teleporting). He has a noticably large number of basic combos, kinda like Smoke. He also has some of the coolest Brutalities in the game. Kung Lao can throw his hat in different ways. While Hat Toss (D, B Square) is a regular projectile where you can alter the direction, Buzzsaw (B, F Square) stuns the opponent, giving you time to gain distance. Shaolin Spin (D, U X) has armor and, when enhanced, can be extended and moved left or right. Soaring Monk (D, B Circle) is an anti-air but also works on grounded opponents. The Soaring Monk Brutality has to be done on grounded opponents.

Johnny Cages moveset. Hes hilarious and quotes movies now, but hes also even more of a jerk. It seems he lost his magical green power and projectile. However, his moveset is unique and his Brutalities awesome. Johnny can grab his opponent right after a throw kounter (by pressing L1) and break his or her arm. An opponent with a broken arm can temporarily not use throws. Annoyingly, there is no on-screen indicator for that effect which should be fixed (among many other things). Johnny can basically do the Gouki/ Akuma teleport as kounter (D, B Square) or regularly (D, F X). His sunglasses projectile is interesting because it goes vertically (F, D, B Triangle). Several of Johnnys specials can be cancelled or ended with Hype, filling his Hype meter. Using taunts (4x D) also fills the Hype meter. Wowing out (F, D, B Circle) is most effective to fill the Hype meter. Once the Hype meter is full, you can activate Hype mode, also by pressing F, D, B Circle. During Hype Mode, Specials can be cancelled into other Specials or Kameos and the Fatal Blow can be done twice in a row, also all Specials are enhanced. Oof.
Finally, his Fatal Blow can be delayed by holding L2 + R2, which can be cancelled into a Shadow Dash (D, F X). When his Fatal Blow is fully delayed, its unblockable. The dance itself also triggers the unblockable Fatal Blow when hit (thanks for letting me know).

Again, Im very late with this and the video will lose relevance next week, but I cant just ignore this visual masterpiece. Tokon has a very solid starting roster imo, with a good mix for fans of the movies and (newer) comics. However, Im not some 15 year old streamer with a 800$ microphone who sits in a blue light LED hell, drowns himself in Holy Energy, gets a billion of views and holds a Youtube gold button to the camera every 5 minutes, which means I cant effort to buy the game once its released.

Gameplay from Easy, Normal and Wesker Mode. The bosses in Resident Evil Zero arent that great (some are ridiculously easy), but Marcus is interesting with several transformations. Dodging has become more important, especially during Proto Tyrant.

Geras moveset, or how I call him: Gyros. Fun fact, Geras is a Gears anagram for some reason. In Mortal Kombat 1, hes a good guy since he serves whoever controls the Hourglass and way less creepy. Like most characters, he was kompletely changed to use more time-base attacks. Hes basically able to use all time mechanic weve ever seen in fighting games, from resetting himself to his previous position, to time stop, to repeating attacks and delaying attacks. When you uppercut a time-stopped opponent, hell be launched into the air once the time-stop ends. Countdown (D, B X) has do be done three times or once when its enhanced. Using the command again turns it into Inevitable, a full screen time stop. Unfortunately, there is no on-screen indicator how often Countdown has been used. History Lesson (D, F Triangle) and Follow-Up Exam (D, B Triangle) change their animation and increase in damage if Geras is cornered (History Lesson) or the opponent is cornered (Follow-Up Exam). Redo (B, F X) teleports Geras to his clones position automatically or when hes hit. Double Time (B, F X+R2) has the clone copy Gerass inputs but the move feels broken, it doesnt really work... it seems you have to use an attack instantly after Double Time for the clone to copy it. It seems to be completely random if it works or not.
Fixed Point (D, B X+R) resets Geras position (and HP!) from 3 seconds ago. Sandstorm throws the opponent either forward or backward depending on his or her position.

Rains moveset. His design was changed to be more wizard-like. Instead of supporting Mileena like in MKX and MK11, hes a traitor in MK1. Hes one of my favorite characters in MK11 due to his unique water-based attacks, but I suck at playing him in MK1. Now, hes mostly a mid to far range character. He usually teleports all over the place with Water Gate (D, B Triangle) or uses the Gates for projectiles instead (D, F Triangle+R2), which should be mixed up. His regular attacks are slow but mid-ranged. Ancient Trap (B, F Circle) pulls opponents towards the attack.
