In ancient times, the Chimer followed the prophet Veloth to the lands of Morrowind, but while many Chimer settled and eventually became the Dunmer, some of the Chimer continued their journey east, leaving the world of land behind and taking to the sea, sailing out into the vast Padomaic Ocean.
Today these Chimer are known as the Chimer-quey, a nomadic race that roams the seas in vast makeshift flotillas, cities of sails that move upon the water.
Our Mod of the Day today focuses on one such flotilla, for today we're showcasing Distant Horizon - A Chimeri-quey Flotilla by Vaelta, which adds a new location for you to discover in the Padomaic Ocean.
Accessible by boat from Necrom, this new location, a Chimeri-quey flotilla, offers a scenic environment for you to explore, populated with Chimer-quey with tons of unique dialogue and even a number of quests for you to do. The flotilla offers plenty of atmospheric scenes, but much more lies in the dark depths of the ocean, should you go exploring.
Based upon the lore of the book "A Pearl Betwixt Empires", Distant Horizon is a well-written and beautifully-designed location, one well worth adding to your game!
