Morpho UV Printer review and real-world test! I unbox this Desktop UV printer, set it up and try UV printing on an iPhone, MacBook, metal coins, ceramic tiles and 3D-printed parts.
Kickstarter Link is HERE: morpho-uv-printer.kckb.me/samprentice (this link goes live when kickstarter does on the 20th Aug)
Can the Morpho Desktop UV Printer really make full-colour UV printing easier for makers, creators and small businesses?
This Channel is sponsored by **PCBWay**. If you need custom PCBs, CNC machining, brackets, plates, enclosures, sheet metal, 3D printing, or prototype-to-production manufacturing for your own projects, check them out here: pcbway.com/g/M3R75n
This is my first time living with and operating the Morpho UV Printer without Morpho’s engineers standing beside me. I install the CMYK, white and varnish inks, run the automatic calibration and use the camera-assisted alignment system to position artwork directly onto real objects.
The first UV printing tests include an iPhone and MacBook, followed by a 40 mm metal coin with 1.2 mm raised relief and a ceramic tile using Morpho’s current maximum 5 mm texture setting.
I also test:
• Full-colour UV printing
• White ink base layers
• Gloss varnish
• Camera-assisted alignment
• Printable and non-printable exclusion zones
• UV printing on metal, glass and ceramic
• 2.5D and 3D texture printing
• Stereo-vision object detection
• Morpho Studio software
• UV printer maintenance and print-head cleaning
This is a beta Morpho UV Printer, so I also encountered a genuine maintenance problem. A malfunctioning wiper module caused a partial blockage in the white ink channels. I replace the module, inspect the print head and show how easy—or difficult—it is to maintain this desktop UV flatbed printer yourself.
The Morpho hardware has impressed me, but the beta software still needs improvement. Faster selection tools, better artwork editing and separate basic and advanced printing modes would make real-world UV printing considerably easier.
Could this be the best UV printer for makers, custom product businesses and home workshops? There is plenty more testing to do before I can answer that properly.
What should I print next? Leave an object, material or Morpho feature you want tested in the comments.

We first looked at the EufyMake E1 about a year ago, but since then it has not just been sitting around collecting dust. We have actually been using it in production, especially for adding colour, branding, labels and texture directly onto 3D printed parts.
In this video, I revisit the EufyMake E1 properly and look at where it makes sense for makers, creators, small businesses, product designers and anyone who wants to make their projects look more finished.
A 3D printer makes the object.
The EufyMake E1 helps finish the object.
We look at direct UV printing, 3D texture printing, UV DTF stickers and transfers, printing onto tumblers, using it with 3D printed parts, and why this type of machine could be useful if you already make physical products.
This is not really about whether it can print.
It is about whether it can make your work look more professional.
