I hope you're all having a wonderful summer...I can't believe it's almost over! August always seems to be a month of reflection for me...must be because it's birthday month and this year is a big one. I find myself making changes in August...starting a business one year...rebranding another....starting a channel...
Three years ago, Covid hit and changed everything. I decided to pull back promoting my jewelry as it seemed so unnecessary in the big scheme of things. I thought I'd take this unusual moment to learn new things. I had always wanted to learn mix media art so that I could add it to my jewelry business. I had been rebranding a bit and wanted to give my packaging and displays a certain hand crafted artistic feel. I searched YouTube to learn and ended up down the rabbit hole discovering all sorts of new things. When I wanted to share my new discoveries and experiments with my social media followers in video form I found that YouTube was the place and my channel was born. That was three years ago this week!
I still can't believe how much I've learned in three years and how much I enjoy sharing it with you all. After a week of vacation, a week of guests, and my birthday looming....I've been reflecting. With Covid came supply chain issues and I had run out of my favorite bracelet boxes which was not such a big deal while I've been on a "jewelry hiatus". But I'm back now! I've decided it's time to get back to my jewelry and I'm starting with bracelets. I still have my website heartandsoulfuldesign.com but I'm thinking that I'm just going to move everything into my Etsy shop over time so that I will not be spreading myself too thin. I want to continue with my channel as I love it so much! I still want to learn and share but I need to be realistic about time and find the right balance. Eliminating my website over time and focusing on my Channel and my Etsy shop might be the answer.
With that in mind, it was time to focus and restock my packaging supplies. I ordered the boxes but there are so many other parts I was out of as well. I've spent the last weeks "making" and thought I'd share this short video with you all.
